Dog vs. Feather Pillow

So I returned home from a meeting today to see our dog, Lilly, covered in feathers. Hum, I thought... where did she get those from? Then I went into the guest bedroom where our darling dog had apparently taken out some pent up aggression on a certain feather pillow. See below..

More Lake Pics

Weekend at the lake

Last weekend Hannah and I headed up to High Rock Lake in NC for a baby shower and girls weekend with a bunch of ladies I grew up with. Here are a few cute shots of Hannah and her buddies.

Seriously?

Someone actually posted this sign on the light pole across the street from our house.

Really? Is the parrot just hanging out in the neighborhood? I love how it has specific instructions to tell us how to "capture" the parrot if we have an encounter with it. And how does a parrot get loose anyway? Next week I'm going to put up a sign saying "LOST: GOLDFISH" "Goes by the name Nemo... If found, please call..."

What is she thinking?

I had to put these pictures on the blog because of Hannah's funny facial expressions.

This is one of those times when I try to guess what she is thinking. Here are a couple of options:

a. Mom looks like a total goof crouching on the floor with the large black thing over her face. And why is it every time I look at it it flashes at me. Now I'm seeing little red spots everywhere. This is not cool. Hum, I wonder if I can touch the red spots. Nope, not making contact... as usual. One day, I'm going to figure this whole touching thing out.

b. I just took a giant poop in my pants and I wonder how long it will take mom to smell it. I would cry but I'm actually just really relieved because it's been a few days since I've done that. Wow, I feel like 10 pounds lighter now. Ok, I'm exaggerating... I only weigh like 12 pounds so I'll just say that I feel about 4 ounces lighter instead.

c. Again, why is mom acting so silly? And why does she insist on taking so many pictures? I mean, I'm still wearing the same outfit that I had on 2 seconds ago. I really haven't changed since the last time you flashed that thing in my face.

d. I bet she's going to put these pictures up on the blog. And I'm not even smiling. I should really put together some sort of approval process for any photos she puts on the blog. I mean, those photos of me on my bad hair day are now out in cyberspace for anyone to see!

Seeing Double

As you can see, Hannah likes to see herself in the mirror.

The MIA blogger

So sorry I haven't blogged in a week or so... I can't say that I've been busy, just lazy. Everything is going well here. Hannah is as cute as ever and she smiles a lot now. She also opens her mouth as if to say something when she's smiling. I'm just waiting for a giant laugh to come anyday now. The best part is watching Todd look like a total goofball to get her to smile. He's such a serious guy so it's really entertaining to watch him grinning at her and making funny noises.

I'm trying to get into some sort of routine around the house so that I can get Hannah on a napping schedule. Unfortunately Hannah isn't too keen on this plan. Apparently she hasn't gotten the memo that when I put her down for a nap during the day, she is supposed to go to sleep. It's fairly ironic that my child isn't much of a daytime sleeper. I could nap all day if I had the chance.

I have several ideas for some more witty posts so be on the lookout:) Happy April to all!
