Is this better Alexis & Kirby?

My Favorite Things...

No Raindrops on Roses or Whiskers on Kittens here...

Hannah calls this "the spank". I won't elaborate.

My mom made this demo owl for me so that I could start making them. Hannah's room has a lot of owls in it so I hope to make a few like this one to go in her room, and for any friends that will be having babies in the coming months. Isn't it cute?

I'm pretty sure I would eat my left toe if it were covered in Nutella. I have intentionally never read the nutrition info on the container and I don't ever plan to. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

This fuels me from about 7:30 am to 7:30 pm.
I might have to enter a 12-step program if I ever have to give it up.

Hannah's current favorite thing is her Daddy Doll. They gave them out to all the kids at the Family Day. All you do is slip your soldiers picture in the face mask! What a great idea!

Why a boxer is the perfect family dog...

Lily doesn't even flinch. If you look deep into her eyes you can see her secretly begging to stay on the couch. She's just waiting for us to ask her to get down:)

A few more pics...

Just wanted to add a few more pics from the weekend.

Todd's aircraft.

Take me with you Dada!

Just wanted to add a few more pics from the weekend. Thanks again to Carrie & David and the Lyles for coming to send Todd off.

The countdown begins!

This was a big weekend for the Lyle family. On Saturday we all packed up and went to Todd's unit's family day. It was lots of fun (especially for Hannah as you can see).

She loves her Dada!

... and bouncy houses.

.. and slides.
On Sunday we went to the official deployment ceremony. There are hundreds of pictures from the day but here are just a few highlights.

Yes, that's my child sweetly smiling right next to where rockets shoot out (that's not the technical term for that part of the aircraft)

Climbing in...

She got a little confused when everyone was dressed like Dada.

Todd's company. He's the commander so he stands in the front (next to the guy with the flag)

So now the countdown begins until April/Mayish 2012. Todd will be home for a short visit over the 4th of July and then hopefully I'll fly out to see him before he leaves for Iraq in August. I will get his address soon so if you would like it, I can email it to you personally. He'd kill me if I put it on the blog:)
